MindWorks Collaborative Announces Two New Board Members
Maryland based nonprofit welcomes two new strategic operations and talent leaders
Riverdale, MD (August 2021) – MindWorks Collaborative (MWC) is on a mission to improve educational outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse students with disabilities by empowering systems to create diverse and collaborative school teams. We believe no educator or student should be left feeling isolated, unsupported, or like they do not belong.
We are so excited to announce the appointment of Jessica R. Davis, MBA, PMP, CSM, and Carissa Holsted as new members of the MWC Board of Directors. They both add deep strategic education and business management expertise that will help us accomplish our mission by growing the organization and our work with schools.
Jessica is a Leader, Talent Team Coordinators at Ernst & Young and an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University. She will be joining us as the interim board Vice President. Carissa is the CEO of BluPrint:ED and an Education Pioneers COVID Response Fellow at Shelby County Public Schools. She will be joining us as a board member. These additions bring our board membership to eleven.
“I am pleased to welcome Jessica and Carissa as new members of our exceptional team,” said Martrice Gandy, Founder/Executive Director of MindWorks Collaborative. “These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our startup as we further our mission of improving the world of special education through diversity and collaboration.”
It is the responsibility of MWC’s Board of Directors to counsel and guide its direction and operation and raise awareness of and financial support for MWC services with the community. Currently, the Board comprises individuals from the consulting, finance, education, clinical, policy, family, and IT communities. Want to join these talented leaders? Our next Board appointments open in January 2022. Sign up to learn more about how to join and to set up a time to chat with Board leadership here.
